This course is affiliated with Tiny Earth, an international network of students engaged in a unique course-based research experience to discover novel antibiotics. The purpose of this course is to provide students an engaging and immersive real-life laboratory experience. Students in this course perform independent microbial research projects in an effort to aid in the discovery of antibiotics. Using a “student-sourcing” approach, our course data is compiled with data from ~300 other institutions worldwide (48 US states, as well as DC, Puerto Rico & 28 countries).
